- The nursery is situated in Deepdale within a newly constructed building adjacent to Quwwatul Education Centre on Peel Hall Street, Preston.
- Do you accept 2-year-olds with free government vouchers?
- Yes, eligible families can claim vouchers through the Lancashire online enrolment system. We accept children from 28 months.
- Are all staff qualified?
- Yes, all staff hold relevant childcare qualifications. Our Nursery Manager has a degree in special educational needs and is a qualified teacher (QTS).
- What about fees and payment methods?
- Fees are payable by cheque or cash one week in advance. All booked sessions require payment regardless of attendance. Contact the nursery directly for current pricing.
- Are policies available?
- Yes, all policies can be obtained directly from the nursery.
- How are children grouped?
- Each child is assigned a dedicated practitioner who facilitates a smooth transition, builds relationships between home and nursery, and ensures continuous care quality and secure attachments.
- What are the opening hours?
- The nursery operates 38 weeks per year. Morning session: 8:45am–11:45am. Afternoon session: 12:00pm–3:00pm. Full day (30 hours): 8:45am–2:45pm. Closed during term breaks and bank holidays.
- Can families visit?
- Yes, at LSN we have an open door policy so you are able to come at any time, though appointments reduce wait times.
- Are snacks homemade?
- Yes, snacks are prepared on-site using fresh fruits and vegetables while minimising processed foods.
- What security measures are in place?
- Our doors are monitored by an intercom. The front door has a CCTV entry system, and each room has CCTV cameras, with security entry systems throughout.
- How does the settling-in process work?
- Children are admitted in small groups, with the process explained on the first day. Staff are experienced in managing separations compassionately and parents may observe activities and displays.
- Is there a uniform requirement?
