One Quwwat, serving Preston since 1970.

Quwwat began in 1970, when the Quwwatul Islam community was established in Deepdale, Preston. What started as a place to pray has grown, generation by generation, into a place to learn, to raise children, and to look after one another — today more than 700 children and adults are in education across our centres.

In 2023 that work was formalised with the registration of Quwwat Foundation (UK Charity #1208658), the charitable and fundraising arm of the community. Everything we do — worship, education, and welfare — now sits together under one Quwwat.

Quwwat Foundation is our registered charity and fundraising arm (UK Charity #1208658) — welfare projects at home and abroad, ring-fenced, reported, and Gift Aid eligible.

Quwwatul Islam Masjid is the heart of the community — five daily prayers, Jumu'ah, and a place to gather on Peel Hall Street.

Quwwat Madrasah teaches Qur'an, character, and Islamic learning to children and adults.

Quwwat Nursery gives our youngest their first steps in a warm, play-led early-years setting.

Maktoom offers madrasah education and activities designed around children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Quwwat Academy brings sport, fitness, and wellbeing to every age and level.

Quwwat Foundation raises funds for projects the community can stand behind. Working with partners we have helped establish masjids and madrasahs in Sierra Leone and Kenya, and in 2026 our Qur'an Revision Day campaign brought reciters together at Quwwatul Islam to fund a masjid and madrasah build in Central Java, Indonesia.
